Chapter 21
Maanveer stirred with the chirping of birds in the desert place. They all are
welcoming dawn in their own way. It's not like that he slept in night, it's
just.. he rest in his full sense for any unpleasant incident. He stretched his
body and sat up only to admire the nature beauty. Darkness is faded by sunrise
and they need to start their journey again.
He glanced toward Geetangli who is still in deep slumber, unknown from whole
world. He decided to wake her up now so they will soon start to find their way.
"Geetangli !!!" He called but
Geetangli didn't even move slightly.
"Ye ladki bhi naa!!!" Maanveer shook
his head. Maanveer filled his palm with water and brought it, where Geetangli
sleeping peacefully, his lips stretched in a naughty smile and he emptied his
palm over Geetangli face.
Geetangli started and wake up with sudden shock and cold water and found
Maanveer is standing next to her with a smirking face. It's doesn't take her
second to understand.. what happened? And who did this?
"Maharaj !!! This is not the way to wake up
someone" she whined.
"Hmm !! Mager ager koi ghode bache kar sota hai
tu aise hii utta the hai samjhe" Maanveer said whilst collecting
his sword and other belongings.
"Hawww!!"
"Close your mouth and get ready fast"
Maanveer went after ordering her. He is collecting some fruits for their
journey.
"Huh!! Dusta kahi ke" Geetangli
crushed him under her breath and correct her dress.

Both startled with the sudden voice of "shankh". Maanveer jogged
toward Geetangli who is freshen up near river.
"Maharaj !!! Koi enemy hai kya"
"Shh.. let me decode it" Maanveer
concentrate on the sound.
Maanveer hurriedly wrote something in wet mud. He is hearing sound with
concentration and writing it on the shore of the River.
Geetangli is watching him with confusion as she didn't know this code language.
"Geetangli !!! Be alert !!! I have to climb tree
!!!" He said in hurry whilst tying his sword to his waist.
Suddenly both heard roars of lions which made Maanveer startled.
"Yeha Geetangli ko chodna sahi nahi hai.."
Maanveer is thinking a way to climb the tree without risking Geetangli life.
Maanveer blown shankh once to inform other side for his delay for their
message.
"Come here!!!" He called her near him
and without any warning, he scooped her and keep on the branch of the same tree
on which he is going to climb.
"Maharaj !! Ye app" Geetangli stumbled
but hold herself back from falling with one jump Maanveer too come on same
branch. He saw that Geetangli is ogling him like alien. He raised his right
eyebrow in amusement but Geetangli is too lost in her own world.
"Khaa nahi jau gaa.. tumhe niche sher naa kha
jaye issliye.. apne saath uppar laya hu" Maanveer leave her there
and climbed more to reach to the top to see the clear sky and some indication.
"Maharaj !!! Kuch dikha" Geetangli
asked from down.
"At least !!! Let me climb" Maanveer
glared her down and Geetangli gulped to see his anger but her chin is jutting
out in proud.
"Nahi sudher sakti" Maanveer murmured
and climbed carefully to reach his destination.
Geetangli sat on one thick branch and enjoyed berries as this is one of
big Red berries tree.
Maanveer checked her once from above and shook his head to see her enjoying her
own world without any idea of around.
"Tujhse hi dhyan rakhna hoga.. nahi tu phir koi
nayi musibat.. ye ladki hii chalti firti musibat hai.. tabhi iske parivaar itni
jaldi maan gaya shaadi ke liye" Maanveer reached to the top and
open sky welcome him. He sighed to see only trees are visible all around from
till far.
He once again blew his shankh for some clue if it was from his army. He decided
to come down when some smoke line in the sky caught his attention. He waits
there and he was right. This is his own army plan to show him the way to come
out from this forest. Soon one sided sky turned red because they are
continuously throwing colors in sky.
Maanveer lips stretched in a smirked and he blown his shankh 3 times to inform
them that he is going to follow their signs.
"Geetangli !!! Come !!!" Maanveer
jumped down on same branch where Geetangli is waiting for him.
"Is someone army behind us?" Geetangli
asked about that sound mystery.
"Will explain later for now hurry up !! We have
to come out from this forest" Maanveer went ahead in the same
direction whilst he is holding Geetangli wrist so she didn't get lost in the
dangerous place.
"Maharaj !!! Tell me what happened? Why are you so
happy like you got some hidden gold River" Geetangli is asking
again and again whilst Maanveer wants to concentrate on their way.
"Because my army showing us the way and I will be
save from your chatter chatter.. or else I would turn out as deaf person"
his sarcastic tone made Geetangli so angry that she turned silent like she is
some puppet doll and Maanveer just pulling the strings to move her.
Maanveer felt wired after some minutes as Geetangli didn't make even slight
sound. He turned to check her once and found her angry.
"Geetangli !!! You are always act like honey bee"
Maanveer teased her but she didn't answer him back.
Geetangli stumbled little and a little moan escaped from her mouth which made
Maanveer turned to see her.
"Are you all right?" Maanveer asked
to see her leg as they are already wounded.
"Still alive !!! We should move"
Geetangli left dumbstruck Maanveer behind and starts to move ahead. Maanveer
thought broke to hear her sword voice to remove the bruise from their way.
"This is the way to talk the king"
Maanveer asked angry. She always hurt his ego.
"Decide first !! Who did come behind me.. my
husband or king" she countered back.
"Kya fark padta hai.."
"Fark padta hai.. if you came as king than you
should go to your way as I am not willing to take your help.. if you came as
Husband than there is no formality had place between us" Geetangli
said in her deep yet sweet voice.
"Why do you like to make everything so
complicated?" Maanveer asked whilst moving simultaneously with her.
"Because you don't understand simple gesture"
Geetangli answered.
"She had all answer of this world"
Maanveer thought and glared her.
Geetangli felt out of breath after walking almost 3 hours and sat on the rock.
"Geetangli !! We don't have time in our hand..
let’s move" Maanveer said genuinely.
"Than leave me here and move ahead.."
Geetangli replied rudely.
"Geetangli iii !!!! Don't forget your limits!!!
If I am ignoring all your misbehaving that doesn't means I grew some bond
toward you.. Stay in your limit and talk with respect.." at last
Maanveer patience’s broke all boundaries.
"I.." but she is cut by him in mid
only.
"Chup !!! Ek or shabd nahi sunna hume.. this very
first warning to you.. in my territory only I am the KING.. got it !!! Never
take advantage of my soft behavior or else your love one's will bear the
consequences" Maanveer warning made her eye wet.
"I was right about you.. you are only monster"
Geetangli whispered disgustingly.
"Yes !!! I am a monster.. a very danger monster
and your are tied with this monster" Maanveer tone held pain,
Sarcasm and mostly authority.
"This is my black faith" Geetangli
said and stand to move ahead.
Maanveer now and then stealing glances of her but not making it obvious. He
tried to be soft but she broke till last string of his patience. He loved her
sarcastic replies but disobeying his command in this disrespectful is not
acceptable for him or his ego.
They are moving in aimless muddy aimless roads from last 6 hours and Geetangli
didn't ask even water in middle. Maanveer missed her excitement filled chirping
voice but his ego is not let him except it whilst other side once again
Geetangli metal and physical both wounds turned green. She felt like caged bird
in his proximity. She didn't take anything on her heart but his warning about
to harm her innocent family because of her made her lost. After his fight with
elephant ad crocodile for her.. made her soft toward him but he killed those new
blossom feeling himself by his cunning nature.

Maanveer stopped to drink water and take some berries for energy as they are
very near to some village as faint sound of temple are coming with winds.
"Lets freshen up and eat something.. then we will
continue" Maanveer said but only got silence in return. Geetangli
didn't argue with him and drink little bit water from river and eat 2 or 3
berries only.
"I am full.." she said and sat on the
rock to wait Maanveer.
Maanveer felt angry to see her attitude. She followed his command for name sake
only. She drank water like humming bird and eats berries like she had Rat
appetite only.
Maanveer too did the same and ordered her to follow him. Both are stubborn
here. If Geetangli didn't eat than Maanveer also did same in anger, but both
didn’t try to talk with each other.
Maanveer smiled to see the organized mud road ahead as they indicating human
presence that means village is few kilometer away from them. Maanveer blew his
shankh so his army comes to know about his presence.
Geetangli's legs are numb and turn like jelly because of continuous walking
almost 8 hours. She stands at one place for some moments to gain her composer
and strength. Maanveer stopped to see her worn out but he is feeling proud too
on her will power and bravery to walk for 8 hours on muddy roads it's not a
cake walk.
"We just reached.. let’s sit for some time"
Maanveer said but Geetangli coldly denied his offer.
"No need!! I am perfectly fine and alive"
she is walking slowly and took a branch for support.
"Stubborn!!!" Maanveer thought with
anger.
Geetangli fallen down as her legs gave finally and Maanveer glared her.
"Are you happy now?"
Geetangli tried to stand but failed miserably. She turned her face in anger on
her helplessness. Maanveer scooped her in his arms when he felt she dropped her
all weapon right now. Some tears fall from her almond eye when she felt her
pride is wounded by him right now.
Maanveer understood her and said "it's doesn't
make us small to leave our stubbornness according to time".
But Geetangli didn't answer him not even gave any slight sign. Only tears are
falling from her eye.. soon her eyelids dropped because of tiredness and she
went in deep slumber. This is biggest relief for Maanveer as he is feeling
really uneasy with her crying continuously.

He saw from far his huge army coming in his direction as they are able to
locate him at last and catch him outside the village only. Aditya left the army
behind and comes himself with 2 more horses toward them for Geetangli a
palanquin followed them too.
"Maharaj padam !!! Thank god !!! You and queen both are safe.."
Aditya bowed his head in front of Maanveer.
Lalita is coming there with palanquin and saw Geetangli in Maanveer arms that
too unconscious made her stumbled on her feet.
"Maharaj !!! Geetangli ko kya hua vo aise" Lalita feared to hear
something worst.
"She is fine.. go and get ready medicines for her
leg" Maanveer ordered her whilst made Geetangli laid inside the
palanquin.
"Maharaj !!! Everything is ready.. please come" Aditya said with
worry to see his skin also bruised from so many places and he is looking worn
out too after continuously walking.
"Hmm !!!" Maanveer sat on the horse
and all headed toward the camp for rest.
